Big Red Resilience and Well-being is offering an in-person, open session of REACH Suicide Prevention training for UNL faculty and staff from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on March 23 at the University Health Center. Registration is available online at go.unl.edu/reachtraining.

REACH helps the university community by teaching how to:

  • Recognize warning signs.
  • Engage with empathy.
  • Ask directly about suicide.
  • Communicate hope.
  • Help suicidal individuals access care.

After training, participants receive a certificate and lapel pin signifying their completion of the program.

Instructors who are interested but unable to attend this session or would like to bring suicide prevention training to their department should contact Abbey Ragain, suicide prevention program coordinator in Big Red Resilience and Well-being, at abbey.ragain@unl.edu.
