iClicker Classic is set to retire on Dec. 31, making way for iClicker Cloud to take over as the single supported iClicker instructor software beginning on Jan. 1. This shift brings a more streamlined and advanced experience for both instructors and students.

For students, the transition will be seamless. They can continue using physical iClicker remotes or opt for the convenience of the mobile and web applications. Regardless of their chosen device, students must create an iClicker Student account to register, unlocking access to the same options as mobile users.

Instructors can maintain flexibility in their teaching methods. They have the option to use their existing iClicker base/receiver and blue instructor's remote or choose a mobile-only experience by downloading the iClicker Instructor Remote app.

iClicker Cloud introduces enhanced features to elevate classroom interaction, including advanced polling options, group work, assignments, attendance with or without geolocation, quizzing, and roster and grade sync LMS integration.

An internet connection is required for iClicker Cloud. To learn more, view a iClicker Cloud training presentation or iClicker transition information online.

Instructors may continue to use iClicker Classic, but no further updates or tech support will be provided.
