Higher education is rapidly evolving, and the incorporation of gamification and play in the college classroom has emerged as an exciting and effective approach to enhance student engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes.

Playposium 2024: Infusing Teaching with Gamification and Play will bring together experts, educators, and researchers to share insights and best practices related to gamification, game-based learning, and the integration of play in higher education on March 12-14.

In addition to a keynote presentation by Lisa Forbes, clinical assistant professor in the School of Education and Human Development, and David Thomas, executive director of online programming, from University of Colorado–Denver, recorded and live sessions will host a variety of topics, including practical strategies for incorporating play and game-based learning into higher education classrooms; theories and neuroscience of learning; mindfulness as play; and popular culture topics as play.

Online registration and additional details will be available online in the coming weeks.
