UNL is opening a student veterans’ resource center in room 16 of the City Campus Nebraska Union to support veteran students’ transition to an academic environment.

The Center will assist UNL student veterans, active-duty, reservists, National Guard and military dependents through academic success strategies and connections with mentors and role models at UNL and in the Lincoln community. Specific services include

• Access to educational resources
• Certification of educational benefits and advice on military credit
• Academic and transition coaching
• Support services focused on career attainment, financial health and wellness
• Collaborative and individual study areas

On September 11, at 3:30 p.m. the Military and Veteran Success Center will honor this historic day of remembrance with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, hosted by Chancellor Harvey Perlman, in the Colonial Room of the Nebraska City Union.
