Invite an undergraduate research ambassador to speak to your class or organization and show your students how easy it is to get involved in research at UNL. Undergraduate research ambassadors come from an array of academic backgrounds and are conducting research and creative activity with faculty mentors across campus.
An undergraduate research ambassador can share information about their research experience, give tips on finding a mentor and project, and answer any questions. Presentations typically last about 10 minutes and can be easily incorporated into the beginning or end of your class.
Visit the UCARE website at http://ucare.unl.edu/. Complete the undergraduate research ambassador request form found on the “Contact Us” tab. Hosting an undergraduate research ambassador could be the opportunity your students need to learn how to get involved in research at UNL.
