McGinn to present 'The Silent Nothingness of God' April 23

The Department of Classics and Religious Studies will host a symposium, "The Silent Nothingness of God," featuring keynote speaker Bernard McGinn on April 23, 7:30 p.m. in the Nebraska Union. The event is free and open to the public.

McGinn is the Naomi Shenstone Donnelley Professor Emeritus at the University of Chicago Divinity School, and widely regarded as the preeminent scholar of mysticism in the Western Christian tradition. He has also written extensively on Jewish mysticism, the history of apocalyptic thought and medieval Christianity.
