Chancellor inducted to York High School Hall of Fame

Along with Dr. Harold Nordlund (class of 1945) and Bill Moomey (1944), chancellor Harvey Perlman (1959) was inducted May 28 into the inaugural York High School Hall of Fame.

The York News-Times on May 28 notes: "The son of Ted and Rosalyn Perlman, Harvey did display athletic ability as he lettered in basketball, football and golf at York during his prep career. But education has always had top priority in his life. He graduated in May 1959 as salutatorian of the class and received a UNL Regents scholarship and a Lincoln Journal-Star scholarship. He attended UNL, graduating in 1963 and followed that with a juris doctor degree with highest distinction from Nebraska's law college in 1966. The following year he was a Bigelow Fellow studying at the University of Chicago Law School."

Perlman attended the ceremony at York Country Club.
