The College of Journalism and Mass Communication's "One Day University" seminars will explore the world of digital photography on June 11.

The hands-on seminars are taught by experienced faculty. Participants have the opportunity to practice the concepts they've learned in individual and group exercises in the state-of-the-art classrooms and computer labs of Andersen Hall.

The digital photography workshop is divided into two sessions: "Principles of Great Photography," 9 a.m. to noon; and "After the Shutter Closes," 1 to 4 p.m.

The morning session will highlight the proper role of the photographer, camera hardware options and the principles of good photography. The afternoon session will explore the latest software available to shutterbugs and tips that will help take photographs to the next level.

Cost is $75 for one session, or $125 for both sessions. For more information, or to register, contact Trudy Burge at gburge2@unl.edu or 472-7077. Additional information is also available at http://go.unl.edu/iy9.
