A retirement reception for Keith Niemann is 2 to 4 p.m., Jan. 21 in the East Union's Great Plains Room. Niemann, director of extension human resources, has been a UNL employee for more than 40 years.
Niemann began his career as an extension aide in Seward County in 1970. He also worked as a UNL Extension educator in Kimball/Banner, York and Sarpy counties from 1974 to 1996. He was named the assistant district director for the Southeast Research and Extension Center in 1993. He was director of extension human resources from 1996 to January 2011.
The reception is free and open to the public.
