Exhibit features Powell's Fulbright trip to Namibia

An exhibit featuring photos from Larkin Powell's Fulbright Fellowship in Namibia opens Jan. 24 in the Nebraska Union's Rotunda Gallery. The exhibit, "Beneath the Sand: A Photo Journey of Our Year in Namibia," is open through Jan. 28.

Powell is a wildlife ecologist in the School of Natural Resources. Powell, his wife, Kelly, and their son, Tristan, spent 2009 on the Fulbright in Namibia. Powell taught at Polytechnic of Namibia in Windhoek.

The family's photos chronicle the animals, people and places experienced. A March 26, 2009, Scarlet story (linked below) features their experience.
