Water seminar series examines stormwater management

Bill Hunt will present "Research and Design of Green Stormwater Management Practices" at 3:30 p.m., April 13 in Hardin Hall Auditorium. The lecture is co-sponsored by the UNL Extension Stormwater Management Team and is free and open to the public.

Hunt is an associate professor and Extension specialist in North Carolina State University's Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering.

Since 2000, Hunt has assisted with the design, installation, and/or monitoring of more than 90 stormwater best management practices, including bioretention, stormwater wetlands, innovative wet ponds, green roofs, permeable pavement, water harvesting/cistern systems and level spreaders. He teaches as many as short courses and workshops each year on stormwater BMP design and function throughout North Carolina and the United States.
