The Kawasaki Reading Room Cultural Lecture will explore the “Social Psychology of Japan” at 3 p.m., Nov. 21. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be in the Gaughan Multicultural Center, room 212.

The lecture will be led by K. Appleget, a graduate of Hastings College who worked on his graduate degree at UNL. Appleget taught Japanese and Chinese culture, history, religion and geography for 35 years.

Appleget’s lecture will include an explanation of the basic concept of the Japanese religion of Shinto, and continues through differences of logic and reasoning between Japan and America.
