On April 7, UNL welcomed a new group of students into Tau Sigma, the national honor society for transfer students.

Tau Sigma recognizes transfer students who have excelled academically in their first term at UNL and provides a space to connect with other high-achieving transfer students beyond that first semester. Tau Sigma has been part of UNL since 2003, and this year’s induction reflects a continued commitment to recognizing and celebrating transfer student achievement.

If you’re early in your time at UNL, Tau Sigma is something to keep on your radar. To be eligible to join, you must have transferred in at least one year of credit, completed 12 credit hours at UNL, and earned a 3.5 GPA or place in the top 20% of incoming transfer students.

As a member, you’ll be recognized at an induction ceremony and at commencement, connect with other transfer Huskers, and have opportunities for leadership, scholarships, and national conferences.

If you have questions about Tau Sigma or eligibility, reach out to Abby Roskos in the CAST office at aroskos2@unl.edu.
