If you’re looking to build more community at Nebraska, the Center for Academic Success and Transition offers two opportunities this fall for transfer students who want to get more connected, meet other students, and feel more at home on campus.

This August 16-19, CAST’s 4-Day Foundational Event gives you a chance to step back into a “start of semester” experience. You’ll meet other transfer students, get to know campus resources more fully, and connect with our transfer student peer mentors. It’s a great option if your first semester at UNL felt fast or overwhelming.

Additionally, CAST offers a FREE 0-credit seminar (UGEP 120, Section 70) in the fall as a designated way to connect with transfer students and resources consistently. You’ll get to know other transfer students, reflect on your experience at UNL, learn more about how to navigate campus and overall make your time at UNL feel more complete. You can sign up for the class yourself in MyRED or ask your advisor about enrolling you.

If you have questions, you can reach out to Abby Roskos in the CAST office at aroskos2@unl.edu.
