All departmental software purchases are transacted through eShop and are managed by Procurement Services. Procurement has provided the following updates:

Microsoft Home Use Program
UNL Faculty and Staff are now eligible to participate in Microsoft's Software Assurance Home Use Program (HUP). This program enables you to get a licensed copy of most Microsoft® Office desktop PC applications to install and use on your home computer WHILE YOU ARE EMPLOYED BY UNL.  More information about HUP can be found here.
 
Microsoft Campus Agreement – Tablets Now Included
UNL assesses a fee on any new computer or tablet purchased for departmental use and capable of running Microsoft Office to cover the cost of the Microsoft Campus Agreement.   Affective July 1, 2013, all tablet purchases will be assessed the appropriate fee. The fees are as follows: $130 for a PC computer/tablet and $40 for an Apple computer/tablet (including dual boot).  Fees will be charged to the cost object used for the computer/tablet purchase and will appear as an Internal Charge on general ledgers.  Questions can be emailed to license@unl.edu.
