UNL students, faculty and staff will be able to use their MyUNL credentials to access WiFi service at participating institutions worldwide beginning August 4. eduroam (education roaming) is a secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community.

While UNL students or faculty are visiting a participating campus, they select the eduroam SSID from their available wireless networks and login using their full MyUNL credentials, (jdoe[at]unl.edu) without creating a guest account. Colleagues from other participating institutions will be able to connect at UNL in the same manner. Study Abroad students can easily join thousands of eduroam hotspots without incurring any data roaming charges.

eduroam is in use in over 54 countries with over 100 participating institutions in the United States. eduroam is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and Internet2 Net+ services.
