Microsoft will begin the upgrade process for UNL's student email, ‘huskers.unl.edu,’ to Office 365 for Education on Friday July 26th. Microsoft's enhancement of services to higher education will give access to more online services and tools. Huskers.unl.edu email email addresses will not change.
Here’s what to expect during the upgrade;
• You can continue to use email throughout the upgrade.
• Password resets and the creation of new accounts will be disabled during the upgrade.
• While your account is being upgraded you may be experience a brief interruption.
• You may notice that the Outlook Web App logo has been replaced with the Office 365 logo.
• When you navigate to the sign-in URL for Outlook Web App, you may get redirected to an Outlook Live sign-in page or an Office 365 sign-in page.
Here is what to expect after the upgrade;
After the upgrade you will have two separate accounts with the same user name and password that you use to access Live@edu.
1. Office 365 account. This account gives you access to your school email. University of Nebraska-Lincoln administers this account.
2. Personal Microsoft account. This personal account will give you access to all your existing SkyDrive content, Messenger, and other Microsoft services. Note that University of Nebraksa-Lincoln no longer administers this account. As a result, we cannot reset the password for you.

What do users need to do?
Complete the following steps:
1. If you are using Internet Explorer 6 or 7, upgrade to a newer version of Internet Explorer.
2. If you use Outlook to read your email and you are using Microsoft Office 2003, upgrade to Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010 to continue using Outlook.
3. Access your email and calendar at http://huskers.unl.edu
