2025 ASCE Mid-America Student Symposium

Each year, a different student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) hosts a regional symposium with the goal of social, professional, and technical knowledge development in the scope of civil engineering. This year, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Nebraska at Omaha have been given the opportunity to co-host the 2025 ASCE Mid-America Student Symposium. This three day symposium will involve a series of exciting activities, including student presentations, research discussions, and team challenges. Participants will compete in various competitions such as concrete canoe and steel bridge (and many more), showcasing their practical skills and knowledge in engineering design and problem-solving. In addition, several keynote speakers, consisting of esteemed professionals from the civil engineering industry, shared insights on emerging trends and the future of infrastructure development. The symposium offers students the opportunity to compete in a series of friendly competitions, engage in professional development opportunities, broaden their social network, and highlight the profession of civil engineering and its contribution to society.
