The Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at Marquette University (Milwaukee WI) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in transportation engineering to start in August 2026. Expertise in transportation engineering is required (e.g., transportation planning, traffic operations, transportation safety, transportation construction or other areas). Knowledge of data analytics and/or artificial intelligence is desirable. This position is expected to be filled at the assistant professor level; however, exceptional candidates for associate professor rank will also be considered.
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising and directing undergraduate and graduate student (Ph.D. and M.S.) research, and performing service to the Department, College and University as well as the academic, civic and professional communities.
Required qualifications for the position include an earned Ph.D. in civil engineering, experience performing and publishing research, demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and potential to secure extramural research funding.
