Title: Project “O” Street and Multi-disciplinary Collaboration
Abstract: “O” Street is the front door to our city. It is the first place visitors see, the center of our community life, and a key driver of our local economy. Project “O” Street is the first major reinvestment in Lincoln’s downtown main street in more than 50 years. Improvements will replace aging infrastructure and enhance public spaces downtown. The project includes infrastructure improvements including new water mains, removal of lead service lines, smoother streets, upgraded sidewalks and safer crossings. Beyond infrastructure, the project will expand and enhance the streetscape with enhanced lighting, landscaping, and public amenities that support shopping, dining, festivals, and foot traffic. The project elements require collaboration across multiple design and engineering disciplines and city infrastructure and planning
departments.
All participants will receive 1 Professional Development Hour (PDH) for attending.
