Taisa earned 2nd place in a very competitive student poster session at the National Slag Association (NSA) Annual Conference. Competing with students from highly ranked universities, she proudly put CEE/UNL and Dr. Teixeira's research group IMPAR (teixeira.unl.edu) on the map and brought this award home!
Her poster focused on the chemical–physical characterization of EAF slags produced in Nebraska and their potential use in soil stabilization. This research is funded by the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT).
