The Energy and Resources Group (ERG) at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for an open field tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor nine-month faculty position.

ERG is a graduate group within the Rausser College of Natural Resources with a teaching and research mission motivated by a sustainable environment and a just society. Its faculty and students embrace the need for a multi-disciplinary approach to address society’s most complex problems. ERG focuses on teaching and research that span four pillars: economics, energy systems and engineering, environmental science, and qualitative social science. Though ERG organizes itself into these pillars, collaborative research that crosses disciplinary domains is encouraged and nurtured.

We welcome applicants with a record of teaching and research that aligns with at least one of the following: environmental and Earth science, energy systems and engineering, and mixed-method social science approaches to natural resources. We welcome applications from scholars who also have a capacity for interdisciplinary collaboration, for advising students from a diversity of topic areas, and for producing research that is impactful outside of academia.

Basic qualifications (required at time of application):
-PhD (or equivalent international degree), or enrolled in PhD or equivalent international degree-granting program at the time of application.
