
The David Crawford School of Engineering at Norwich University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position with a specialization in Water Resources Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering and Construction Management with a presumed start date of January 1 for the Spring 2026 term of the current academic year or July 1 for the 2026/27 academic year.
We seek applicants with a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with Water Resources focus or a closely related field. Successful candidates will be committed to delivering a high-quality undergraduate education and will pursue an active research agenda, as well as advising undergraduate students majoring in the disciplines of Civil Engineering and Construction Management.
Primary teaching responsibility is for undergraduate Civil Engineering courses in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering to include hydrology, water and wastewater treatment, fluid mechanics, the introductory course in environmental engineering with their associated laboratories.
Minimum requirements are a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or a closely related field. Candidates must have mastery of English and be able to evaluate student work grammatically as well as technically and have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, scholarship, and advising.
