
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Construction (CEEC) of the Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the structural engineering area commencing Fall 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous and sustainable funded research program in their area of expertise, mentor to graduate undergraduate and graduate students, develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in their expertise area related to structural engineering and mechanics, and participate in service to the Department, College, University, and profession.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, architectural engineering, engineering/applied mechanics, mechanical engineering, or materials engineering is required. A Ph.D. degree in civil engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date. Applicants from all areas of structural engineering and mechanics will be considered.
