Thank you to the UNL PGA Golf Management program for asking me to write a brief update. It has been really great to see how the program has grown and fun to have the opportunity to stay connected through the newsletters.

Following graduation in 2009 I moved to South Florida to work for the PGA of America National Office. In my time there I worked in Communications, Membership, Consumer Marketing and Player Development. One of the coolest parts of this job was having the opportunity to work with PGA Professionals all over the country and area experts who oversaw programming at the national office. I had a very small part in what these leaders were doing, but being able to be present in the room and see how they thought, how they worked and other aspects that make them so successful helped my career so much.

I loved my job in Florida and it was a fun place to live, but my wife and I always talked that the only thing that would make us leave was an opportunity in golf administration back in Nebraska. At the PGA Merchandise Show in 2013 I met with the Nebraska PGA Section regarding programming for the newly developed Nebraska PGA Section Foundation, which ended up turning into a new position with the Section Office overseeing Foundation Programming, Player Development and Junior Golf. I jumped on the opportunity and have been serving in that role ever since!

Now completing my fourth summer season with the Nebraska PGA Section, my wife and I are happily living in Lincoln, attending every Husker sporting event we can, and are being blessed with our first child this fall. I thank you again for the opportunity to still be a part of the Nebraska PGA Golf Management Program, and if there is anything I can ever do to help a graduate or student, never hesitate to reach out.
