Classes have seemed to have grown since our last semester with almost 20 students returning from extended internship. It’s good to have them back! With nice weather on the horizon, we are hoping to get tournaments started in the beginning of March, but for now it’s all intramural sports for the PGM Student Club.

This year we have a record 4 basketball teams and 2 broomball teams. There is a championship in the future for our students; golfers are no joke when it comes to sports!

We will be having a busy semester coming up here with all of the activities occurring in the spring, including the annual Spring Scramble. This year, the Spring Scramble will be hosted at Wilderness Ridge on April 22nd. Our stroke play championship this spring will be held at Arbor Links, a great facility that should test the strengths of the PGM students.

Some non-golf activities our program will be involved in are the Big Event, which is for one day in April where we go around and help people in our community with tasks like cleaning gutters, raking leaves, or even help with cleaning garages. A little incentive for our students to show up is the Masters' Party that will be happening afterwards. If you volunteer in this event, you are able to come back to the PGM Student Room where there will be pizza, pop, and golf waiting for you! Overall, sounds like a great day!

What has been fun to hear from our students this year is where they will be heading on internship. We are very proud of how far these men and women have come. Some locations where our students will be heading is Whistling Straights, the host of the 2020 Ryder Cup; Erin Hills, host of the 2017 US Open; Congressional Country Club, Conway Farms, Bandon Dunes, and many more! These students have bright futures ahead of them and we can’t wait to see where these opportunities take them!
