Well...it looks like winter is just not ready to give up it's grasp on spring yet. Students on campus have been patiently waiting for spring to arrive and the golf courses to open up this month. Spring break for UNL was this past week and I know some of our students headed south to warmer climates trying to find some "green" and get the dust off the clubs. On the plus side, our golf simulators have been a "Rocking and a Rolling" this winter!

Spring is always a great time for our PGA Golf Management Program at UNL. New students are ready to come in this fall, some students will graduate in May and August and enter the golf profession, and all of our students have hopefully secured their 3-month and extended internships this summer and fall. Our students will be going to some pretty fantastic places and we thank all the PGA professional and their colleagues for providing the quality work experience opportunities for our program. Without your involvement and investment, we would fall tremendously short on our students' preparation and professional development. Thank each and every one for all you do in preparing the next generation of PGA professionals!

And speaking of our PGA professionals in the golf industry, there is an exciting story by Maureen Olson and her professional growth and rise in the industry. She shares her interesting story with our readers, and her travels and experiences are truly unique and exciting. So make sure you read all about Maureen's professional and personal life while in the PGA golf management program at UNL and beyond. Thanks so much Maureen!

On the side of new developments, David Honness (PGA), the executive director of the Nebraska Section of the PGA has invited our students to join members of their section in the inaugural Legends and Young Guns Golf Tournament this spring. David and his team have created this fun event to bring the "legends" and our students together for networking, building relationships, and conducting more experiences between the membership of the Nebraska Section of the PGA and the PGA Golf Management Program at UNL. This is going to be a great experience for all involved. Thank you David for planning and organizing this great activity! You can read more about this opportunity in our spring newsletter.

Also in our spring newsletter is an update from our outgoing Student Club President Nick St. Onge, highlights of our students who made the CASNR Dean's List from the 2017 fall semester, and many other activities and events that make our students and their program so special. Please take some time to read what is happening in our program and if you are ever in the Lincoln area, please stop by for a tour and a cone of our world famous ice cream made right here on East Campus.

As always...Fairways and Greens!
