Cordell Weber wins Player of the Year (POY) honors this year! Last year Cordell won both the Match Play Championship and the Stroke Play Championship and finished second in the POY. This year he won neither but played well enough throughout the year to secure enough points for POY honors.
Cordell had an impressive six wins this year and a second place finish in individual events and a win in the team event of 6-6-6 with partner Aaron Hart.
Cordell competed in the CONE (Central Oklahoma-Nebraska) Cup and the Jones Cup this year and “cashed” in every event he played with the exception of one event.
This is the first time one student has won the Stroke Play Championship, the Match Play Championship, and the Player of the Year Honors during her/his time on campus. We call Cordell's achievement the "Weber Slam"!
