The PGA Golf Management Program at UNL is blessed to have the help of two fantastic Teaching Assistants! These two do a tremendous job of working one-on-one with all of the students in the program and providing that extra touch that can only come from the student perspective.
Senior student, Nakul Paliwal comes from Delhi, India and states; "As a Teaching Assistant this semester, I was more involved in the program than I ever have been and I am glad I got this opportunity. For the coming semester, I want to continue working hand-in-hand with the officers of the student club and the committee chairs to conduct tournaments. Lastly, I also plan on teaching a few class sessions so the freshman class should be looking out for that."
Senior and current Student Club president Nate Vaughn comes from Hooper, Nebraska and looking back on his first semester as a TA, he states; "I’m amazed by how fast it’s gone. I feel like it was yesterday that Nakul and I were sitting down to set up the first tournament of the fall semester and trying to figure out how to print a scoreboard. Having the opportunity to help students work through the PGA curriculum and getting to spend more time around the program has been a blast. We’ve had some awesome TAs in past years and to follow in their footsteps has been a great experience. I look forward to another successful tournament season in the spring and continuing to help all of our students take the next step in their journey to PGA membership!"
With the new PGM 3.0 program being introduced this fall to our 2018 cohort group, Nakul and Nate had to work hard and fast to be able to work with our new students to prepare each for their PGA Qualifying Level exams. Both rose to the challenge and they both are excellent additions to our team in PGA Golf Management.
Thanks Nakul and Nate!
