WDN members from across the university have been at the front lines of communicating the university's response to this unprecedented public health crisis. A universitywide COVID-19 response site, "COVID-19: Nebraska Responds" was launched in the early days of the pandemic to serve as the official source of updates regarding UNL's response to COVID-19. In addition, numerous sites at UNL have launched COVID-19 response information specific to their audiences.

To date, the central site has seen:

  • more than 350,000 pages requested since March 9 launch
  • each user, on average, using the site for over 6 minutes each time they visit
  • nearly 1100 updates (letters, content revisions, etc.)

The site was extensively overhauled on June 18 to focus on fall semester planning under the "Forward to Fall" banner.

In addition, numerous UNL sites have launched localized COVID-19 sites with content specific to their audiences; WDN developed a shared banner design which coordinates between the global banner that is included on all UNL sites and the localized content (see Research, Housing, and several colleges including Fine and Performing Arts, Engineering and Law.
