Congratulations to Juan Carlos Jaimes, who was just awarded a student grant from the Geological Society of America to support his thesis research on "Water Quality and Sustainability of Andean Paramos: The State of the Water Supply for Millions in Latin America."
Juan Carlos is an M.S./Ph.D. student working with Steve Thomas and Diego Riveros-Iregui in the School of Natural Resources at UNL. Juan Carlos and Diego just returned from Colombia, where they conducted field work over spring break. Juan Carlos will return to Colombia from May to August for more field work.
