The Education Abroad Office is accepting faculty-led program proposals for calendar year 2021. To begin the process, one faculty or staff member per program must submit a draft proposal by February 15. Members of the Education Abroad Advisory Committee (EAAC) will provide feedback by March 15, and the primary leader will submit a final proposal by April 15. Chairs and deans will approve programs by May 15. Once approved, the Education Abroad staff will work with the leader throughout the summer to solidify the on-site partnership(s), leadership team, and budget.

The proposal process moved to a web-based format in “MyWorld” beginning with calendar year 2019 programs. If a leader submitted a proposal for 2019 or 2020, Education Abroad will transfer previous responses to the 2021 application. The leader will then have the opportunity to update and edit the proposal prior to February 15.

All faculty and staff new to this process are strongly encouraged to meet with Associate Director Marnie Nelson (mnelson38@unl.edu) and attend a “Program Design and Partnerships” workshop. A schedule of upcoming workshops will be posted in early December.
