
The College of Business faculty made a lot of curriculum changes. The changes that are relevant to non-business students are:
*Accounting
- ACCT 201 Introductory Accounting I – changed “14 hours of UNL credit” to “14 hours of college credit”
*Economics
- ECON 315 – prerequisite change, students only need ECON 211, 212, 215 (dropped the 311 or 312 prerequisite)
*Entrepreneurship
- Courses are no longer cross listed with Management, students will continue to search for Entrepreneurship
- Courses have been created for their competition and old special topics courses
- ENTR 325 The 48 Hour Challenge: Building Entrepreneurial Teams and Testing Ideas (1 hr)
- ENTR 326 Venture Finance: The Basics and Essentials of Startup Financing (1 hr)
- ENTR 327: Entrepreneurial Creativity (2 credit hours)
- ENTR 328: How to Pitch Yourself and Your Ideas (1 credit hour)
- ENTR 421, 422, 423, 424 – added ENTR 121 or 321 as a prerequisite, still need junior standing
- ENTR 425 Franchising – no prerequisites
*Management
- MNGT 342 Introduction to Sports Management – new course being offered in Spring 2024. Prerequisites are currently sophomore standing and MNGT 300/301.
More changes coming to the Accounting and Actuarial Sciences majors in Fall 2024. Business Analytics major is in proposal stages as well.
