Are you working with students who are law-school bound? There are a couple of upcoming opportunities for them to learn more about various law schools and get insight into the application process. First, if you know of students who plan to apply in the next few years and want a chance to learn about various law schools, you might encourage them to attend MINK Law Day. This fair, put on in Kansas City by the Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas law schools, brings dozens of schools from all over the country together to talk with prospective students. Pre-Law Advisors are welcome to attend also! Here is the registration link: https://law.missouri.edu/mink/
Then, on September 1st, UNL’s College of Law will host an Application Chat. Students can sign up to attend an afternoon that will take them through all the pieces and parts of the application process. They will also participate in a “Writing your Personal Statement” workshop that will get them started on a draft of their essay. The day will end with a tour of our law school.
