For the 2023-2024 academic year, University Academic Advising is committed to providing regular opportunities for advisors that can easily be planned in advance. The Training and Professional Development Calendar includes events from August 2023 through May 2024 and will be updated regularly as new opportunities, like NACADA webinars, become available. More information about registration for each event will be shared in advance.
The first event of the season will be the Advisors Connect and Develop 2023 event, offered in partnership with AAA. This half-day session (8:30-Noon, August 10, 2023, in the Nebraska Union) will include updates from Student Affairs, information about the upcoming change from “academic probation” to “academic warning” language, mentorship and networking activities, and time to connect with your colleagues from across campus. Light refreshments will be offered, so please be sure to register for the event if you haven’t already so we can provide an accurate headcount for catering.
