Continuing through Aug. 7: "UNL Alumni Artists 1970-1973" exhibition in the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall. A closing reception will be held on Friday, Aug. 7 from 5-7 p.m. in the gallery. Forty-three alumni from the Department of Art and Art History have their work on display.

Aug. 7: North American premiere of Composer Robert Owens' opera "Culture! Culture." 7:30 p.m. Studio Theatre in the Temple Building. Tickets are free, but must be reserved in advance at http://go.unl.edu/theatretix.

Aug. 21: Cornhusker Marching Band Exhibition Concert. 7 p.m. Memorial Stadium. Free and open to the public. See highlights of what the Band has been working on during their pre-season camp, including the famous "drill down," a preview of the first halftime show, the Nebraska Pregame Spectacular, and many more Husker favorites. Enter Memorial Stadium through Gate 3 (Southwest entrance) and Gate 11 (Northwest entrance).

Aug. 22: Big Red Singers Exhibition. 7:30 p.m. Kimball Recital Hall. Free and open to the public. A highlight of Big Red Welcome, the Big Red Singers will take the stage in a high-energy performance of singing and expert choreography
