The CSE Colloquium Series presents a MATLAB Technical Seminar, led by Jiro Doke from The Mathworks, on November 10th. The focus will fall on the Image Processing Toolbox for MATLAB. Topics will include: importing and exploring imagery, algorithm development using the MATLAB environment, evaluation of image processing techniques for segmentation, application development, report generation, and application deployment. Session I, being held from 3:30 to 4:45 PM in 115 Avery Hall, will focus on the technical aspect of MATLAB. Following a fifteen minute break, the tutorial session will be from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in 19 Avery Hall.
Jiro Doke, a Senior Application Engineer at MathWorks, received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, focusing in the biomechanics of human movement. At MathWorks, Doke focuses on core MATLAB, math/statistics/optimization tools, and parallel computing tools. He is co-author of the File Exchange Pick of the Week, which can be found at http://blogs.mathworks.com/pick/.
