Two teachers in NebraskaMATH earned their master’s degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a result of participation in a combination of Nebraska Algebra, New Teacher Network or the Nebraska Math & Science Summer Institutes.

Eric Lockert, a mathematics teacher at Lincoln North Star High School, and Katherine Norman, a mathematics teacher at Lincoln Southeast High School, earned their Master of Arts for Teachers with a Specialization in the Teaching of Middle Level Mathematics (MAT) from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's commencement on Dec. 16.

Lockert participated in Nebraska Algebra and the NMSSI to earn his degree, while Norman was a member of the New Teacher Network and also used NMSSI courses to reach her degree.
