Title: Achieving Critical Transformations in Undergraduate Programs of Mathematics (ACT UP Math)

Abstract:
The NSF funded ACT UP Math project uses a critically oriented approach to investigate how networked improvement communities (NICs) engage with data to improve diversity, equity and inclusion in introductory math programs. Join us Feb 29th as Rachel Funk and Wendy Smith share ongoing research and lessons learned from the project. Specifically, they'll introduce tensions produced in these efforts, highlight arts-based methodologies employed by the team, and share information about data-dashboards that have supported NICs in reflecting critically on student experiences in their math programs.
