Road Safety Project Coordinator - Nebraska Safety Council (Lincoln, NE)

The Road Safety Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing and delivering presentations/educational training to employers and employees on traffic safety. The Coordinator will provide consultation services to employers interested in developing a road safety program for their organization. This is a grant-funded position.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
> Develop and implement a communications plan for outreach to employers about the Road Safety Employer and Employee Education Project.
> Develop presentations/training materials to educate and raise awareness on traffic safety issues and the benefit to employer, employee and the employee’s families.
> Plan and schedule employer education programs giving priority to targeted counties specified in the grant to help employers and their employees increase their knowledge of traffic safety.
> Provide consultation services to employers, giving priority to targeted counties specified in the grant to help them develop and implement a road safety program for their organization.
> Conduct training programs for employers and employees.
> Track training programs and results within the target group.
> Assure administrative requirements and reporting meets the requirements of the grant.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
> Excellent presentation skills with experience in delivering presentations/training to a variety of audience sizes.
> Strong written and verbal communication skills; a logical, persuasive and passionate communicator.
> Excellent organizational skills.
> Ability to manage project budget.
> Excellent Customer service skills with the ability to build relationships with staff and partners.
> Demonstrated skills to use a personal computer and various software packages including Microsoft Office 2010 Products—Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and especially PowerPoint, and other software packages that assist in the performance and tracking skills necessary for the position.
> Promote safe and healthy behaviors through communication and personal demonstration.
