The Voice News (based out of Hickman, Neb., just south of Lincoln) is looking to add two full-time community news reporters to our team. Those interested should have experience with reporting/writing (including AP style) and photography. Preferred candidates would have experience with InDesign and Photoshop.
Applicants should be able to work independently in a team setting. Some web site and social media updating is also part of this position's duties. We are looking to add these team players immediately to our award-winning weekly newspaper's team, and are looking for the right person who is reliable, strives to put out their best work consistently, has an eye for detail and can meet weekly deadlines. We cover five public schools, including Norris, Freeman, Bennet-Palmyra, Sterling and Waverly, as well as several communities with town and business news; the job, while busy, can be very rewarding!
