Railyard Entertainment Sales and Business Manager

Job Description
The Sales and Business Manager is responsible for maximizing return on sponsorship and advertising through the development, direct sales and management of sponsorship and advertising packages. Job duties also include marketing and negotiating space rentals for the Railyard common areas and promoting and managing events in the Railyard.
Job Duties
• Direct sales responsibility for sponsorships and advertising
• Develop, implement and maintain sponsorship and advertising proposals and strategies
• Seek and secure sponsors, negotiate sponsorship agreements and maintain excellent relationships with sponsors
• Seek and secure clients for advertising spots on the Cube, negotiate advertising agreements and maintain excellent relationships with clients
• Develop, market and negotiate space rental packages for the common areas in the Railyard
• Draft budgets, draft monthly/annual financial reports and work with financial executive(s)
• Create innovative strategies for revenue generation to achieve company goals
• Manage, coordinate and promote events held in the Railyard common areas
• Coordinate security and staffing for events, including set up and tear down
• Manage the Railyard Ice Skating Rink
• Coordinate the artwork, advertising and event displays for the Cube (this will require learning the Cube technology)
• Maintain relationships and communicate regularly with commercial tenants
• Develop and maintain positive relationships and communication with media, write press releases, pitch story/segment ideas and conduct interviews with radio and TV stations
• Maintain a thorough understanding of rules and regulations affecting the entertainment district
• Satisfy the need for flexible schedule to accommodate late night and weekend demands of event coordination and management
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing/Sales or a related field. The qualified applicant will have 1-3 years of demonstrated success in sales, advertising and sponsorship. The applicant will also have experience in business management and event promotion and management.
