Production Technician/Backup Director
Details:
The successful candidate will first be a Production Technician and will be privileged to operate studio cameras, teleprompter, character generator, video editors, audio boards and video switchers. She/He must possess exceptional ability to lean and implement new equipment and must have a strong technical aptitude.
As a backup director (TD), you must be a leader and above all else, must be a team player. A director needs to know when to take charge and lead as well as when to sit back and follow. Newscast directors are major contributors to the professional outcome of our news product and are vital in the pre-production, production and post-production of the newsroom.
She/He must be able to not only follow a rundown but also lead the production crew through a newscast, work exceptionally well under pressure and remain calm among adversity. Directors must be able to come up with effective solutions and execute them on the fly in order to avoid on-air mistakes.
Newscast directors are also expected to generate story ideas and be self-starters

Experience:

The applicant must be a least 21 years of age and there is a 90 day probationary period.
Additional Information:
Shift: Monday-Friday 4:30AM-1:00PM
