The successful candidate will be a strong leader of people with a seasoned negotiator skill with agency business in addition to someone able to help sales people develop new business, digital sales and conceptualize opportunities across all platforms. Our next Local Sales Manager must be a self-motivated, highly organized, diverse individual with a passion for training, growing people and engaging with clients for success.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Maximizing all airtime, digital & social media revenue assets
• Accurate revenue forecasting
• Collaborate in recruitment, training and effective management of local sales team.
• Oversight of local new business efforts, including accountability for new business sales goals.
• Grow relationships with local advertiser contacts.
• Assist in inventory management and pricing.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
• 5 or more years broadcast sales experience necessary
• Broadcast management experience preferred
• Experience working in a television duopoly environment will be a plus.
• Proven success in developmental business and multimedia platforms including web and mobile applications.
• Thorough knowledge of ratings and the ability to create presentations utilizing comparative values.
• Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Experience with Wide Orbit and Matrix, as well as qualitative research tools is a plus
• College degree preferred
