Pappas Telecasting of Central Nebraska, ABC affiliate and Fox affiliate in the Lincoln & Hastings-Kearney market has an immediate opportunity for a General Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will have all of the requisite sales and management aptitude, including strong leadership skills, ability to budget, forecast, manage inventory, recruit talented staff and generate new revenue. GSM will oversee primary channels in addition to multicast and digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
•Directs Sales Department strategy, pricing and personnel for all platforms.
•Motivates local sales team to reach departmental goals.
•Oversees and directs the effort of the national rep with the National Sales Manager.
•Oversees and sets the strategy for the digital effort with the Digital Media Team.
•Responsible for pricing of inventory, packaging and sales ideas.
•Ensures compliance with all federal rules regulation advertising, political and otherwise.
•Ensures the proper use of sales support resources.
•Trains and educates sales trainees.
•Develops and maintains close relationships with clients and agencies.

Experience:
