Freelance Sideline Reporter, TWC SportsChannel

Serve as a freelance sideline reporter for Time Warner Cable SportsChannel high school football and potentially basketball broadcasts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

The freelance sideline reporter will provide periodic reports and commentary to supplement the main broadcast team during game broadcasts. These will include a brief pregame report, brief interviews with each team’s head coach at halftime, and an interview with the player of the game (chosen by the producer). The sideline reporter will also be responsible for finding interesting storylines and other field-level topics relevant to the game to report on at various times during the broadcast.
The reporter may also be asked to produce a story in the days leading up to the broadcast related to that week’s game.

QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Availability on Friday nights between late August and early November are a must. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Minimum high school diploma or GED.

· Must be currently enrolled or graduated from a communications and/or journalism program at an accredited college or university.
