KETV Hearst Television’s ABC affiliate in Omaha, NE has an
 opening for a part-time photojournalist at its state-of-the-art television
 facility in Omaha’s historic Burlington Station. This position has a strong emphasis on 
photography and video editing with opportunity for advancement.


Responsibilities:
• Shoot 
high quality video and gather information for newscasts that could include
 mornings, nights and weekends. Variable
 shift possible.
• Put
 together high quality packages.
• Coverage
 of breaking news and sports
• Develop
 sources and generate story ideas
• Shoot
live shots and live interviews
• Shoot
 stories for reporters
• Work
 with reporters on packages, special reports and documentaries
• Edit
 video and packages for newscasts
• Ability 
to edit in the field
• Send 
back video and pictures from the field

Experience:
• At
 least one year television news reporting, photography and editing 
preferred. Beginners who can demonstrate
 necessary skills will be considered.
• Breaking 
news coverage
• Live 
news coverage
• Creative 
writer and packager

Requirements:
• Works
 quickly and efficiently
• Excellent
 photography and editing skills
• Must
 enjoy being part of a team
• Good writing 
and packaging skills a plus
• Must 
be able to provide samples of video
shot and edited by the applicant
• Ability 
to develop contacts and generate stories.
• Ability 
to shoot and edit high quality video
• Ability 
to carry camera gear and set up live shots

Education:

Degree
 in broadcasting, journalism or related field preferred. Experience considered in lieu of
 education.
