Communications & Media Intern, UNL CYFS Center for Research

We are seeking a mature, professional individual with experience supporting the communications/media needs of an organization. Initial training and support from CYFS Communications/Media staff will be provided as the selected individual transitions to our collaborative team and assumes increased responsibilities across a range of diverse tasks.
Dates: January – June 30, 2016; 15 - 20 hours/week. There is a possibility that this position may lead to full-time employment or an extended appointment past June, 2016.
Hourly wage: $12/hour
Primary Responsibilities:
a. Design print and digital communications for a large, vibrant interdisciplinary research center (e.g., posters, flyers, handouts, brochures, mailers, newsletters)
b. Update and maintain CYFS-related websites
c. Write and edit content for publications and marketing materials

Skills:
a. Required
• Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Experience designing layouts for print materials
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail

b. Preferred
• Familiarity with Dreamweaver / HTML / CSS
• Experience shooting and editing video
• Experience with photography
