Communications & Marketing Intern, LPED

The Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development seeks an energetic, dynamic and skilled individual with a wide range of administrative and technical skills to assist the Vice President of Economic Development, with marketing-related projects, website maintenance, investor communications, social media, and other administrative duties. This position is estimated at 10 to 20 hours per week and is a paid, part-time, intern position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Works as a team player in assisting other team members in successfully achieving the goals of the organization.
• Works with other staff to brand Lincoln to key audiences to facilitate additional projects for the community, county and region.
• Works with staff to develop collateral materials and web-based information for entrepreneurship programs, business development, program promotion and community information.
• Collaborating with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications
• Assists management and other staff in developing and presenting events and activities that impact a successful economic development program.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:
• Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space
• Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, or Public Relations)
• Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plus
• Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, Excel). Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop highly desired. Knowledge of HTML and graphic design a plus
• An effective communicator, both written and oral
• Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
