KSNB-TV is seeking applicants for a full-time Sports Anchor/Reporter. He/she has the chance to work with a team of sports reporters and anchors across the state of Nebraska in delivering award-winning coverage and delivering content for a weekly prep sports show.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): work with sports team in coordinating local high school and college sports coverage; Write, produce, edit and anchor assigned sports segments. Cover stories, either sports or news, in the capacity of reporter, videographer, or reporter/videographer. Edit. Operate videography equipment in a manner necessary for quality video news presentations; including setup and installation, operation and tear down. Web site duties include entering stories, recording and video streaming stories as instructed by supervisors. Contribute to the idea pool from which sports or news assignments are made. Maintain contacts within the sports community to better cover local sports stores. Perform any other functions relative to the quality of sports or news presentations assigned by the News Director.
Qualifications: College degree in journalism, related field, or equivalent job experience. Experience on-air and in a newsroom covering sports. Ability to operate videography equipment. Knowledge of sports and news journalism ethics, slander, and libel laws.
